I am delighted to have been invited to be composer in residence with Crash Ensemble. I will be working with them on a new hour-long work for 2021. My relationship with the ensemble goes back to 2003 and they commissioned and recorded ‘music for people who like art’ which you can see here in a film made by José Miguel Jiménez:
Joy, the new solo album was released on June 8th and is available to download and stream here on Ergodos Records.
The Irish Art Song Project/Amhrán Ealaíne Ghaeilge (Artistic Director: Dáirine Ní Mheadhra) was launched on October 17th. I set excerpts from Myles na gCopaleen’s (Flann O’Brien) “An Béal Bocht”. You can listen to the performance and download the tracks and score of my piece “Ceol don Bhéal Bocht” (Music for the Poor Mouth) by Rachel Kelly and John Hess here
